Who is Ascension Chess Academy for?
We work with players of all levels—whether you’re learning the rules for the first time or an experienced player looking to break through to the next level. We welcome students ages 7 and up, including teens and adults.
What is the Assessment Lesson?
Our $15 Assessment Lesson is a personalized 60-minute session where we evaluate your current level, identify areas to improve, and provide actionable recommendations to help you move forward—whether you continue learning with us or not.
What are the pricing options?
You can book single lessons or subscribe to a monthly plan with 4 or 8 lessons per month. Subscriptions also include access to personalized study plans and learning resources between sessions.
How long is each lesson?
All lessons, both private and semi-private, are 60 minutes long. This gives plenty of time for learning, practice, and feedback.
Do you follow a specific curriculum?
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all programs. Our coaches follow a proven framework but personalize each student’s learning plan based on their level, strengths, and goals—making every lesson relevant to what you actually need.
Will I have the same coach every time?
Yes, you’ll work with the same coach to ensure consistency and progress. If you ever want to switch, just let us know.
What tools do I need for lessons?
All you need is a device with Zoom installed and a stable internet connection. We’ll send you a meeting link after you book your lesson.
Can I reschedule a lesson?
Absolutely. You can reschedule or cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice to keep your lesson credit.
